Dark burgundy, oak and juicy berries on the nose. Well incorporated flavor of black plum, dark cherries, blackberries, vanilla, dark chocolate, toasted oak, and pencil lead. Smooth tannin. — 7 years ago

This is a nice one. A touch of smoke, textbook raspberry, a mossy middle and a drop of vinaigrette on the nose. This one rides the divide between styles, with herbaceous graphite and earthy tones compelled by plum and dark raspberry fruits, a bit of cranberry and a touch of cedar. Good stuff! — 9 years ago
Strawberry fields with a fresh wind blowing through it. Light and refreshing. @Cornerstone Cellars #Rose #wine — 9 years ago
Whoa...how'd they do that? Stupid high alcohol (18.5%?!!!) and though somewhat Port-like, this is not hot, nor is it cloying. In fact, there's this incredible acidic zip on the finish that so surprises. Fascinating. — 10 years ago

In 1987, Ray & Nancy started Elyse Winery with 286 cases of Zinfandel from the Morisoli Vineyard, which is still a cornerstone vineyard source for the winery. Dark Ruby with rich ripe berry aromas. Flavors of blackberry and raspberry with cinnamon and cacao notes. Very soft dry tannins on lingering finish ending with some earthy spice tones. Outstanding! — 7 years ago
A pleasant blend. Opened up nicely on the 2nd day. An old world feel to it. A voluptuous taste, but not a ton of fruit. — 8 years ago
Ok. Will drink — 9 years ago
I have drunk cases of this wine over the last 8 years, I'm personal friends with Bob, Dinah, John and Brigid. This wine has surprised me for years. Back in 2008 we thought the wine was falling over so we tried to sell it out through the cellar door, but it just keeps going. I had another bottle with my wife the other night and it didn't disappoint. Beautiful savory notes on the nose and the palate. Lashings of tobacco, dried herbs and iodine on the nose with a touch of molasses. On the palate flavours of stewed plums, herbs, iodine and slightly gamey. Lovely integrated oak with silky fine grain tannins on the finish. This wine just keeps going. The only fault would be the corks are dried out and a bitch to get out in one piece. The Cornerstone Cellars Napa Chenin Blanc has a great nose - nutty, with apricot, tropical fruit and a beautiful salinity - a valued quality in wine, if you ask me. A palate of peach, apricot and a little touch of orange peel is balanced with a brilliant acidity. Pair it with anything light and summery - al fresco, if possible. — 10 years ago
