Very much a Syrah. Smooth, deep, dark, fruit forward-ness. Great value. — 8 years ago
Fantastic dry sparkling cava. Excellent for mimosas. Vaimo and I love it especially with a pineapple orange juice or pomegranate juice. — 8 years ago
Wine distilled down to it's finest. Aromatic and gentle on the palate. Have to buy some more. — 9 years ago

Bubble time!! 🍾 — 8 years ago
Arguably the best Cordon Bleu champagne they make. This one has the weight I tend to enjoy of the Pinot Noir heavy Reim wines, and beautiful bisquity aromas, golden pears, creamy mouthfeel, fine bubbles, and drinks like a vintage champagne. Very complex and definitely for people who like the style of champagnes such as Veuve Cliqout. I would be absolutely happy to serve this to anyone. — 8 years ago
Love it! Sweet but not too sweet — 9 years ago
Varietals: Chenin Blanc
Vineyard: Saini Farms, Dry Creek Valley AVA
Orientation: On the banks of the Dry Creek, North-South facing row direction
Soil: Sandy loam, gravely River bottom
Viticulture: Sustainable - Cordon trellis and dry farmed
Vinification: Fermented in stainless steel
Aging: Aged in neutral barrels for 3-4 months
Production: 408 cases - 750ml and 30 cases - 375ml
Notes: Pale straw color with green reflections. A lovely nose, with aromas of apple, Anjou pear, white jasmine tea and hints of peach and nutmeg. On the palate, orchard fruit and citrus layers mingle with green tropical elements, all supported by crisp, acidity, enlivening minerality and delicate white flower notes. — 9 years ago

De Venoge has one of my favorite and solid line ups from their N.V. up through their Louis XV line. This particular chardonnay based Cordon Bleu is unique and beautiful. Brut but not on the more bone dry side. On the nose is the lovely smell of unpasteurized honey with beeswax, spread on a freshly baked English muffin, with some lemon undertone, mousse, and fig preserves. Definitely one that even people who say they don't prefer brut champagne do enjoy! If I could drink a true champagne day to day in this price range, this would be one of a select few I would choose! — 8 years ago
Sneak Peak: this wine won't be released until the end of the year but, you guys, this 2012 Reserve Cru is an amazing wine! It's 100% Coombsville Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in 100% French Taransaud Oak - probably the most famous French cooper out there. There's anise on the nose - a Coombsville signature - and dark, black fruits. Don't even think about red fruits...they're nowhere to be found...this is strictly black cherry, black currant, black plum - dark dark dark! This wine is dense, chewy, and has beautiful tannins. This is going to age beautifully, and is truly a spectacularly complex and balanced wine. Mmmmm! — 9 years ago

An excellent choice for sparkling wine on price-quality range. Beautiful rosé color of Garnacha in the glass. Aromas of red berries, like a bit dried strawberry and raspberry, almond, dried green. Pleasant acidity, very balanced, really high quality! My best recommendation for fans of sparkling rosé! — 6 years ago
