Great with a little chill and an open faced turkey sandwich. On the beefy side of Pinot and really enjoyed — 11 years ago

Great with turkey sandwich in Minneapolis airport — 11 years ago
Anything I rate a 9 means I would not only buy it and drink it myself, but serve it to others and keep it on hand. It is tasty and easy on the pocketbook. A nice ham sandwich or garlic veggie pizza would go great with this wine. — 11 years ago
Boiled chix br sandwich, green and yellow apple, stony minerality, m+ acid, m+ finish. Would have bet money this was french. Amazing value. 11.5% $15 — 10 years ago
This totally lived up to the hype. An explosion of tart red fruit, smoky earth, and lovely wild flowers. Sour cherry, fresh strawberry, red currant, raspberry, potting soil, smoky sous bois, and lovely wild flowers, violet, rhubarb and black tea. Relatively high, focused acidity; but with a lovely fuller, luscious texture and body. Don't know how they can coax that much texture out of Gamay. Tannins are soft and fine-grained, but gently make their presence known; Just a bit more structure than most Morgon, but it's a good thing. Quite food friendly, went just fine with the roasted chicken and pepper medley sandwich I ate it with (Caffrey's ftw). Probably the most complex cru Beaujolais I've ever had, would love to lay some of this down for a few years and see where it goes. — 10 years ago
One of the better reds I've had. The rye mixes in well to make you think it's a frothy amber. Hints of coffee slight spice had mine with a pesto turkey sandwich from Ike's, awesome🙌🏻 — 11 years ago
Wonderful! Stunning aromas: rubber (to die for), mango, papaya, ripe peach and wet stone. Singing acidity, very lively in a sandwich of late harvest fruit and strong mineral base. I wish for longer finish, but honestly, it's fantastic as is. Still a baby, but is drinking beautifully right now. — 11 years ago
Delicious with a salty back bacon sandwich. — 11 years ago
Cider flavor and Champagne bubbles, but clearly of its place in generous fruit, juicy texture and musky back end. Pretty good with a turkey salad sandwich. — 11 years ago
Really enjoyed this. Definite fruit on the most but can pick up the terroir hanging out in the background. Good acidity and paired nicely with the steak sandwich. — 12 years ago
Paired nicely with lamb sandwich @ Los Altos Grill. — 10 years ago
Had this with a complicated sandwich of legume patty, pickled beets, dill, and seed bread and pierogies topped with onions, pickled veg, and mustardy sauce from the wonderful Apteka in Pittsburgh. This wine complemented the meal perfectly. — 10 years ago

Cab franc really stood out to me. Lots of veggies in a good way. Great tannin. Very enjoyable with my salumi sandwich. — 11 years ago
Dark berries, nice earth. More structure than I had imagined, soily/ savory notes on the nose and a pleasant dry finish. Started out very chilled and I'm finding the fruit really comes thru as it warms up a bit. And very good with this sandwich. — 11 years ago
Magnum, great with a Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich. — 12 years ago

With a classic jambon baguette sandwich it was perfect. Fresh acids, herbal but reserved nose, pretty long on the palate. Although I slightly preferred the new world example , Pyramid Valley Cab Franc Howell Family Vyd 2007. — 9 years ago
