Remarkable evening last night at VHR sponsored tasting of the 2014 vintage VHR. Heather and Bruce (@Bruce Phillips) hosted a lovely evening for the VHR faithful popping a Shramsburg Champagne toast with heavy appetizers followed by comparison of the 2012 and new 2014 vintages. Notes for 2014: Obviously young, but the aromatics hitting the nose are alive and run the continuum of all the green leaves in your spice drawer mixed together. Heavy mouth feel with flavor from the darker end of the spectrum: licorice, dates, tobacco. Finish is long and constant. Will be interesting to see how this one changes over time. — 9 years ago
St. Makes has dark brown color, complex malts along the porter-stout continuum. 32 ounce refillable container. Will journey to Claremont to refill. — 9 years ago

The Time Traveller's Wine: I would master the space time continuum to have more of this Sauvignon. Prototypical. Intensely balanced. Thanks Frank!! — 11 years ago
Chenin blanc the only one in Naps when dad purchased the vineyards one was planted to Chenin they tore it out 2004 replanted 2005 Molly chappellet is the label only sold at the winery apple honey extract honeysuckle and bright acidity. Bought a homesteaders propery homestead 600 proprty 400 for the home real estate 300000 acre they were the only ones on the hill lovely intensity with a creamy texture long finish lovely minerality. Finish 45+? All vineyards replanted they have learned a lot so the wines keep getting better. Original 320 acres intact from Prichard. Very close to a dry vouvray. Neighbors Ovid continuum Bryant David Arthur they are 100% solar and organic the next generation will have a better piece of property. Bought next door neighbors property to protect the family but not a real estate guy so he only bought the extra 300 acres of property this is also where all of the water comes from. 120 acres of vineyard today. sister does legal work and brother oversees winery production. M and dad still around. The next generation? — 12 years ago
If you read my other post....I'm thinking it's (partially) me. Another wine that I usually rate high, but my rating falls short from my typical Opus rating. After my disappointment with the Continuum, I opened this. Was more pleased, but these are two wines I typically would rate 9.4+....so very odd I rated both on the lower 9 end of the scale. Must be me. — 8 years ago
This winery is dear to my heart. Tim Mondavi bought the vineyard as part of Continuum. Sold a ton of this wine back@in the day.....good friend brought this bottle that we got from owner when we were sitting by his pool on a visit about 6 years ago...wine is fabulous!!! Big berry fruit, good hint of herb and kirsch and creamy chocolate character....miss this winery!! Cool stuff!!! — 9 years ago
Wonderful with rich fruit lifting it through special Zinfandel nuances like cocoa and vanilla. There is a continuum of rich flavor from beginning to the long finish. An inexpensive wine that touches all the bases. Well done! — 9 years ago
great blind for lunch with the Continuum clan! — 10 years ago
The Grand Cru Burgundy-California Ambition continuum brought full force. A little more acid, a little less alcohol, and this would be a dead ringer for Montrachet. Incredible richness, but it falls a little short on the levity to really hit the contrast levels achieved by highly pedigreed white burg. — 11 years ago
vyard back to back w Continuum on Pritchard, ~60% CF. INTENSE :) — 12 years ago
Easily my #WOTN Luscious, complex and stood up to the Merus wines which is not easy to do. Beautifully integrated and supple tannins with a one minute finish. Sad story on #CloudView but what a legacy. Now home the beautiful wines of #Continuum — 9 years ago
Big. Plum and fruity. Very good back up to continuum at Kiawah. — 10 years ago
birth year lunch bonanza with the Continuum crew! thanks Stu for bringing out a true Burgundian jewel! — 10 years ago
Old school napa.. Beautiful. - crazy to drive up and pass signs for Bryant Family and Continuum, and then enjoy wines from the same area at a fraction of the price... — 11 years ago

Amazingly pure fruit and open knit inviting tannins for a’14. Dark as midnight in the glass, a thread of graphite unites flavors of blueberry, cassis, oak and dense blackberry jam. This wine has a flavor profile much like Continuum in terms of depth and polish with perhaps a bit more concentration at this stage. Appreciated the opportunity to enjoy this @Jason Chang — 8 years ago
