Blend of Negroamaro and Cab, this wine achieves structure and balance almost unlike any other wine in Puglia. Very good. — 6 years ago
A really interesting white wine! Very fruity and somewhat acidic but still carries the tannins of a Nebbiolo. Held up nicely against a pasta with pumpkin sage cream sauce. Would love to have again! — 6 years ago

Whoa now, '86 Nebbiolo drinking better than most Barolo of this age! — 8 years ago
Great velvety texture, juicy acidity and fine tannin with great balance and structure. Ripe black cherry and plum with a slight hint of smoke on the finish — 9 years ago
Smooth, but not as full. Very light with little to no aftertaste. Taste just stays on your tongue. Great wine for the price. — 11 years ago

Aligoté doré from the village of Bouzeron (which boasts the best Aligoté in Burgundy and an AOC dedicated to this grape), by none other than Aubert de Villaine, legendary codirector of Domaine de la Romanée Conti. From old, low-yielding, organically farmed vines on the appellation’s highest slopes, vinified in foudres and aged for 10-12 months. Bright, elegant, complex and mineral. Dry but delicate. Apple. From half bottle. Aromas of leather loam and a little plum but essentially very savoury with fine sandy tannins. Oak is there but not overbearing. Loved the wine and a great accompaniment to Pork Belly. Met the owner and chef Tony Percuoco. A great restaurant and a regular for us when visiting Brisbane. His 2 brothers run the equally good Fellinis on the Gold Coast and Armando is the chef and owner of Buon Ricordo one of Sydney’s best Italian restaurants. All 3 highly recommended. — 5 years ago
This takes some time to open up. Once it does, this light-colored gives up delicate scents of cracked stones, mossy forest underbrush, and wild cherry. Lean but flavorful, with lithe flavors of crisp cherry and rock dust. Loads of acids and a bit of fine-grained tannin on the structural side. Will go nicely with the risotto I just finished and is quietly resting for a few minutes! — 6 years ago

Refreshing as a variation you are used to a diet of mainly Langhe nebbiolo. Rosehip, rowanberry and cherries in a light burgundian style. — 5 years ago
