I'm a bit biased having worked at Conn Creek, but there is no denying this is an elegant, concentrated, powerful example of Napa Cabernet from a mountain vineyard. Inky, earthy, with great typicity. Enough acid and tannin to keep this bottle going for several more years. — 11 years ago

Sooooo smooth, almost too smooth. Gentle but tasty. Def want again, but not sure what to pair it with. — 12 years ago

And our last bottle of the night, while watching BTTF2. I don't always drink Cab, but when I do, I prefer...light handed winemaking techniques and minimal new oak (only 40% here). — 10 years ago
One of Napa's great secrets. Always a touch of tropical and citrus; my faves have a bit of pink grapefruit. Acid all day long and yet balanced. A treat all year-round. — 11 years ago

The grapes for the 2013 vintage are sourced from Oakville, a change from previous vintages. This Chardonnay is bright yellow-gold in color and has a substantial mouthfeel and fresh acidity. Aromas and flavors of green apple, pear, and yellow citrus are layered and persistent throughout, intertwined with nuttiness and smokiness from time spent in 100% French oak. The finish is complex, long, and lingering. Kudos to winemaker Robert Hunt. — 10 years ago
