Normally I avoid this grape, but in that year 2010 the taste is subdued , so drinkable worked with the food at ** Michelin in Valencia Ricard Macarena🇪🇸❤️ — 6 years ago
One of my favourite hidden gem BdB champagnes that I loved in 90 & 96 so excited to try the 02 @ £140 that was a generous gift 😍 Tied with string to hold the cork 👍

Had this 1996 baby to some foie gras de canard on toast and fig marmalade. Damn. — 9 years ago
At 1st matchstick and citrus opening into burnt orange, honey, hazelnut, butter cream, has a slightly oily texture, tangerine, lingering nose, very complex and rich. Absolutely a stunner! — 10 years ago
Salmon pink with restrained fruit on the nose - fresh strawberries with a little mineral - a good drink on its own but great with white meats — 10 years ago

2013...one of our favourite wines. — 9 years ago
Reddish black cherry color. Slightly translucent. Doesn't show its age in the glass. Nose of warm fruit with kirsch, with some secondary dirt and spice notes. In the mouth there wonderful rich coating of ripe black cherry, some wood, and still active tannin. Well balanced. Lasting finish. Great showing. Still on the upswing of its potential. — 9 years ago

Got my first shot of the Biontech/Pfizer vaccine today, time to celebrate. After recently trying the surprisingly good 2007 I have turned to the 2008. JS rated this 100 points and others have it 98+. For me it’s not quite there yet, but it might get there in a few more years or who knows in a few hours after this gets more air. This is such a typical Comtes, such an unmistakable character that lets the Chardonnay shine. The balance of citrus and fruit flavors is amazing and lingers in the mouth forever. Definitely one of the greatest years for the Comtes, perhaps indeed the best yet. I look forward to storing the remaining bottles for a few more years. — 4 years ago
Amazing. It's fruity, but I've felt only a sweet, ripe plum. But the best is the rest: spicy aromas with leather and smoke like from smokehouse. I simply love it! — 6 years ago
For me, the honeyed delights and floral complexities of this Alsatian wine remind me why they are among my favorites. To my palate, it borders on perfection. — 6 years ago

Glorious. Delightfully floral, fruity, typical cab franc notes. Touches of cocoa, toasted almond, herbs, and a real soulful tartness. Truly a wine of balance, with all the complexity of the grape but also delicious now. This will evolve I’m sure but hard to beat how it is today. — 2 years ago
