Beautiful orchard fruit with some limestone minerality - poised and structured. Finish was somewhat soft. Such nice oak. — 7 years ago
Delicious passion fruit on the nose and palate. Clean and crisp. Very nice. — 7 years ago
(raised in stainless steel tanks and made with no malo) Limpid straw-yellow. Assertive, mineral-accented orchard fruit, melon and fennel aromas are sharpened by hints of ginger and lemon zest. Intense pear skin, Meyer lemon and violet pastille flavors show a suave blend of richness and delicacy thanks to a spine of juicy acidity. Closes minerally, taut and impressively long, leaving a powerful floral note behind. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, February 2018) — 8 years ago
Pithy with very smoky minerality, fresh orchard fruit and floral overtones. Lovely. — 8 years ago
Cherry, cranberry, rhubarb, raspberry, lay earth, smoke, currant and oak. Good structure and soft tannins. — 9 years ago
Yum! Do wish it were a little crisper, but overall pretty good — 10 years ago
My favorite cider. A sweeter cider but well balanced and slightly spicy for an overall great flavor profile. Their Saskatoon cider is great if you are looking for something a little sweeter and more unusual. — 11 years ago
Really great Sauvignon Blanc! One if the top five Sauvignon Blancs I have ever tasted. I had a great time wine tasting at Orchard Station Winery! Great guy owns this winery - if you go there, check out his classic Corvette! — 12 years ago
The 2017 Chablis Montmains 1er Cru is clean, racy and super precise. Chalk, white flowers, mint and white pepper all confer brightness to this energetic, brisk taut Chablis. In the glass, the Montmains is so attractive and translucent. Orchard fruit and sweet floral notes linger on the close. Readers who want to see the elegance of 2017 will find plenty of that here. The 1990 Cristal is remarkable. Polished, nuanced and light on its feet, the 1990 is all class. Citrus, orchard fruit and floral notes are wonderfully lifted throughout. A slight reductive note adds character on the finely knit finish. I can’t think of a better way to start this tasting. Simply put, the 1990 is a total rock star. Moreover, it is much more delicate than most wines from this ripe vintage. Amazingly, the 1990 tastes like it is still not ready! “Nineteen ninety was my second vintage here,” says Chef de Caves Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon. “It was ideal. The fruit was just perfect. We blocked the malolactic fermentation completely and only fermented 6-7% of our lots in oak, as opposed to the more typical 20%, in order to preserve as much freshness as possible. The wine was made by my predecessor, Michel Pansu, but I was learning. This was the first year I started working with oxygen by reducing sulfites in vinification to pre-oxidize the Chardonnay musts, as I do know, which allows me to get rid of all the unstable, oxidative compounds. With Pinot, on the other hand, you need a little bit of sulfur at crush or you lose the brilliant fruit. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, December 2018) — 7 years ago
Orchard fruit, lemon, petrichor. Crisp and fresh - juicy acidity. — 8 years ago
Awesome to revisit this with some bottle age on it. Uncoiled, more presence on the nose and weight on the palate without sacrificing the precision I remember it having. Those nervy edges are starting to unravel. Carmalized apple/pear, golden orchard fruit and blossom, tart sweet citrus, spice laden minerality, almost salty on the finish. Pleasant surprise — 9 years ago
In the tradition of ice wines and ice ciders. Slightly effervescent and pairs wonderfully with roast turkey. — 10 years ago
Honored to own a few bottles of this beautiful Cabernet. In the days following the #NapaQuake the Matthiassons wanted to help our community, even though their own home had sustained extensive damage. Quake Cuvée raised over $32k for those in need. #matthiassonwine #napastrong #napavalley — 11 years ago
A gin for those who don't like gin. It has a crisp clean taste and is very refreshing. Great with ginger-ale or in a French 75. — 11 years ago

Golden color. Delicate white flower, apple, and other orchard fruit aromatics. Nicely textured, and crisp, fresh, citrus, apple, almond flavors. Drinking great tonight — 6 years ago
The community of Saint-Estèphe has it roots in the Gallo-Roman origins of this chateau. A blend of 78% Cab Sauv, 20% Merlot & 2% Petit Verdot. Deep Ruby with aromas of dense sweet black fruits with herb and earthy spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry, currant like, with tobacco, tar and hints of vanilla exposing mushroom notes. Well balanced, ripe textured tannins, long finish ending with earthy character. Nice, has plenty of room to develop. — 7 years ago
Bright, juicy. An orchard of just-underripe peaches, nectarines. Hints of strawberry. Stone foundation. Pleasing acidity. Balanced, interesting, a crowd pleaser. — 8 years ago
Beautiful copper hued, gorgeous fruit forward aromatics. Candied green apple, ripe pear, sweet citrus, orchard blossom, confectionaries, sweet dough. Palate is creamy, broad with a sense of nerve and weightlessness. Soulful and energetic to drink. Disgorged 12/2016 3g/l dosage. SV "Les Misy" 48 y/o vines. — 9 years ago

This captivating Pecorino shows a bouquet of candied ginger with dusty florals, wild herbs, incense and crushed green apple. Silky and rich, yet balanced by stimulating acids and mineral-tinged orchard fruits, it tapers off spicy with a hint of sour melon that keeps the palate wanting more. $22.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, April 2021) — 5 years ago
