Tonight's wine is from Washington State the 2011 L'Ecole No.41 Colombia Valley Chenin Blanc.

This wine is done in the Vouvray Demi-Sec style and done well, a very drinkable wine.

The nose is very beautiful and full with nice fruit, pineapple, grapefruit, peach, peach skin, mango and good mineral wet river rock.

On the palate there is mandarin orange, tangerine, apricots, baked apple, mango, lemon curd with a bit of sweetness which a good Demi-sec wine normally has.

This wine has a bit of a viscous mouth feel with Medium + acidity and a nice long finish with that lingering fresh acidity. — 9 years ago
