Fantastic. Better day two. Rustic, earthy, well balanced, but robust. Definitely drink w fatty and/or rich food. Buying more. Really like the producer. Nice value for low $20s. — 4 years ago
Non so perché mi esca Red Blend.. in realtà è una Malvasia di Candia Aromatica in purezza.. molto profumata, secca decisa, l'ho apprezzata particolarmente con frutti di mare. — 7 years ago
this basic wine from denavolo left me quite emotional. worked as a time machine back to early spring time in childhood, the smell of open soil, broken limb wood and first grass. hints of citrus, rocks, floral and vegetal.
mash fermented and left on the grapes for about two months - the tannin structure sorta hides.

A well made version of vermentino.
Nose is aromatic lemon extract. Very fresh and clean. Very Italian. Some richness as it opens.
Palate is nicely mineral and balanced. Light gods lemon soda. Very sprightly on the palate. A hint of lemon pith. Richer as it opens. Great acidic balance.
Something in new wants to try this in 7 years for some reason.
Would be awesome with crudo.
It’s one of those wines that is an incredibly great version of what it’s supposed to be.

WOW! What an amazing surprise.
Structured, balanced, natural wine with full body, ripe fruit, lightly smoky tannins, and invasive aroma. Delicious. — 8 years ago

Third out of 3 bottles we bought during honeymoon trip 4 years ago. Being captured by heavy rain at Castel Gandolfo (residence of Pope), we nestled at lovely cellar tasting Poggio Le Volpi wines. Our photographer called us urgently to depict with double rainbow, whilst all locals were crying and shouting "auguri" )))
Frascati Superiore (Malvasia di Candia / Malvasia del Lazio / Trebbiano 50/40/10), harvested late, fermented in 40-hl oak vats for 40 days, kept on lees 3 months.
Dense brass to orange color, yellow gold glitters.
Surprisingly fresh nose of mint, sea salt, medlar, wet limestone, kumquat, roasted almond, touch of withered grass.
Off-dry (despite raising) palate, medium in body with quite lively acidity. Flavors of buckthorn, yellow plum, tangerine, soaked apple, apricot. Herbs on background.
Buckthorn, citrus peels and ginger apricot on slowly vanishing finish.
Was nice pair to flounder fillet.
8.5* actual, 9.0* considering other 2 bottles tasted "young". — 9 years ago
A so called orange wine so much exciting as few. Pradarolo it's both a location and name of this phenomenal organic (organic for real) winery. Specifically this label - vintage 2007 - shows the number 270 which stands for the very long days of maceration (90 days pumping + 180 days submerged cap). After 16 months of aging in large oak casks + 6 months at least in the bottle, here we have this outstanding wine originated from 100% Malvasia di Candia Aromatica grapes. Despite (or because?) the extreme winemaking technique and extremely long maceration this golden beverage goes down simply as fermented grape juice to light up the eternal mind with the electric body. Though, pairing this wine with authentic Comté du Jura 10 months aged by a farmer from a fresh market in Lyon it is just a mystical experience. Thanks to my mate @Angelo Montagnoli — 10 years ago
