Botticino DOC 2010, 14 %. Bottle tasted in November 2014.
I was not familiar with this wine, but the first thing I can say is: WOW!
Interesting and rich nose, full bodied and round in the mouth. The aging in wood made this wine so smooth, and totally satisfying. More, please! — 11 years ago
From Botticino (between Franciacorta area and Garda lake), the smaller DOC we have in Italy, this surprising red blend of Barbera, Sangiovese, Marzemino and Schiava paired perfectly with my meat's "spezzatino" with oven baked potatoes... Round, with fresh cherries and earthy flavours, with a light vanilla aromas (24 months in French oak). Less than 10 euros (purchased at the winery) !!! — 11 years ago

Very green on the nose. Savoury in the mouth, with a herbal and mineral finish that stays. Really nice. — 10 years ago
