Really enjoyed this bottle and it showed its versatility with various soups/sauces at our favorite hot pot BYOB place in Hawaii. Lamb, beef, sesame sauce, miso sauce, spicy soups. It works with everything. #wheninamerica #drinknapa — 8 years ago
Another visit to this lovely wine and another confirmation that 2008 was a great vintage and most probably one of the best value vintages in the last decade in Bordeaux. The wine is rich, round, elegant and smooth, already ready for drinking, with earthy notes, coffee, black current, wild berries, full round body, lovely tannins, elegant long finish. A pleasure. My score 91, drink to 2025 — 9 years ago
Coffee, dark fruit, smokiness, chocolate, vanilla. Very long finish — 9 years ago
Coffee grounds, chocolate and prunes. Intensely concentrated and oaky nose, but delightfully balanced on the palate. — 9 years ago
Still one of my favorite wines, mocha , coffee, smoke, soft tannins , great dark fruit , great oak at the end. Drink up! — 10 years ago
A lot of really great components--- love the chocolate, chili spice, and coffee---but in the end the sweetness was overbearing. A very good beer still, but more restraint would have made this excellent in my mind. — 11 years ago
Deeper style, very direct Cabernet Sauv. Minty, menthol, coffee, roasted, blackcurrant. Fuller bodied, good grip, warming to hot alcohol, lighter on avidity. Full rich black fruiter style with a roasted warming note. — 11 years ago
This is amazing. Dense flavors of coffee and chocolate, very velvety Amy Currens said shoo fly pie in a glass. So aromatic and malty. Super long finish — 12 years ago
Not quite as amazing as the 2011 vintage, but similar notes of gasoline and coffee with a nice velvety finish. Pairs really well with red meat. — 13 years ago
My favorite non-nitro stout. Flavor notes are perfect and well balanced. It’s what stouts of this variety should aspire to be — 8 years ago
Easy to drink, smooth musky oak nose. Pot life 3hrs. Wonderful with veal & foie gras... @ 11th June 2017.... in Franz Keller. — 9 years ago
Brilliant stuff, first time with this one but a real winner, round full flavour with a little fizz in the mouth — 9 years ago
One of the most overhyped beers ever! — 9 years ago

1998 #domperignon obvious age since bottling. Medium gold color. Intense nose of coffee and cream. On the palate it's amazing with a slight resemblance to an #amontillado from #sherry It's smooth and round. — 10 years ago
coffee, cocoa, tons of ripe raspberry, lush. — 11 years ago
Intense ruby red color with nice aromas of ripe dark fruits, mocha, and cigar box. Full-bodied with ripe blackcurrant, plum, creamy vanilla, coffee, and soft spices on the palate. Meaty structure & smooth tannins coupled with nice long length on the finish. Pair well with lamp. — 11 years ago
Total score while at Beringer. Half bottles of 2006 PR for $33! Yep. Besides the price, the wine has to be one of the more noble bottlings of the decade for my palate. Super pure in the expression of Cabernet Sauvignon; Blackberry, tobacco, touch of coffee; ALL of the cliches descriptors without being boring. I still drink coffee everyday and I would welcome this wine into my home as frequently. Full bodied but BALANCED all the way through. The front palate is a solid intro, the acid was the surprise component that links the finish to the front beautifully. Nice job — 11 years ago
A very complex wine with big muscular structure. Earthy smell at the beginning, Graphite, pencil shaving, tobacco leaves, coffee beans, very strong tannic but change to silky after hours. Decanted it for more than 5 hours it showed a different way. Really impressive for this Sunday night. — 8 years ago
Dark fruit and Coffee notes - in a good spot — 8 years ago
Lots of blackberry flavor; I don't taste the chocolate or coffee referred to on the label. Still, this is something you could curl up with along with your favorite stew (I'm thinking turkey chili with mole). — 9 years ago
It's time for my Friday's Cabernet fix. This time, a wonderful Chilean Cabernet.
Deep purple in color with a purplish rim.
Beautiful nose of blueberries, blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, earth, spices, peppercorn, leather, bell pepper, sage, peppermint, eucalyptus and smoke.
Full bodied with medium acidity and beautiful long legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, cherries, figs, cloves, herbs, earth, cola, vanilla, oak, spices, light vegetables, coffee, chocolates, bell pepper, tobacco, beef jerky and peppercorn.
Long finish with firm tannins and black pepper.
An elegant, Single Vineyard, Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile, with lots of complexity and fitness, but not fully balanced yet.
Still young now, but very enjoyable by itself, and better with BBQ Meats. I paired it with a cheese platter, crackers and nice company.
