Sappy pine, cedar and cherry juice on the nose. Palate is juicy cherries and raspberries, life saver and a little tin can. Quite good. Reminds me of a Cobb wine somewhat. — 10 years ago

This is a barrel sample taken in 2009. Bar top and still fresh. Mount Eden selection 37 at Coastlands, when they were 10 year old vines.

Something different tonight, Karen and I decided on a Excellent Rioja from Spain. Tobelos 2013, which is 100% Tempranillo. Opened 30 minutes ahead. First impression Rioja had a Great Mouthfeel with loads of black fruits and a touch of spice box. The tannin here are mild and in perfect balance with the fruit. Also on back palate a little wood. Enjoyed with Cobb Salad with a white Balsamic dressing. Wine purchased at WineWorks and salad at HoneyGrow in our center. Bravo to this winery! CB-95 Rating in my book!
