Dusty pine cone, soggy pretzels, snow iced cream nose. Cut wild lowers and tall valley grass, Coral pieces straight from the sea, covered in living shells. A hint of walnut in cinnamon. Whoa! Absolutely oceanic initially. Send forth the mollusk!! Maybe soda bread, but really just sweet clams pulled from the mud and injested. The idea of cinnamon surfaces often but is not the driving force. You aren't taking the maidenhead for wife, but you can dream. There are no clouds atop this cognac-colored ocean, but the lacing is unbreakable and washes like the ocean around the bowl. — 10 years ago

Smells a bit like a watermelon Jolly Rancher with a touch of Queen Anne cherry. I am no fan of watermelon candy, but in this case this is paradoxically a good thing because underneath are hints of what I can only conceive of as the smell after a crisp, cool mountain rain shower in the summertime just as the sun begins to peak out from behind the clouds. That failed attempt at poetry could also simply be communicated as a "promise of minerality," which is apparent in the flinty taste, as are tantalizing spicy notes that suggest the robust potential of the grapes. This is a winner for all occasions that demand a complex, rewarding, and eminently affordable rosé. — 10 years ago

Sweet tarts, the pink cherry ones, and just a hint of spree, the coating, that initial metallic sour shock. Head change keeps getting foggy...the cloud spirits are strong in here. I keep thinking I'm tasting chalk but then I keep feeling like I'm tasting ocean clouds. I'm having a fun time with this right now at work but this bottle calls for a day of rain or a windy pause in the hills. The confusion of this drink is tricky. It took twice around to have these evaluations and perhaps its ready now but then again maybe the fog becomes something pretty in the end...but when? — 10 years ago
