Tart black cherry, anise, pine and alpine vibes, high acidity, low spicy tannins.
A beautiful Cali Barbera with the acidity and spice of Piemonte, with the high toned fruit of California sunshine. I love! — 3 years ago

Vanilla notes on first impression. Full bodied. Red plum and cherry middle, with a nice spicy edge. Lasting finish. Overall, a good value. — 8 years ago
Unbelievably good! Would love to try this in a year or two.

You can smell the alcohol on this one. Ripe berry nose, with mint, fennel, and licorice. Wow. $15 from Village Corner. — 4 years ago
Fairly fruity on the nose. Hint of black pepper and something earthy/mineral. Flavor is very dry. Dried strawberries and red vines. Classic jammy Zin thing. Some pomegranate molasses perhaps. Fresh and zinfulliciuos. Plenty of tannin to give it more bite than Zin usually achieves. Complex. True. Enjoyable. — 5 years ago
Dark cherry, big flowers and leather on the nose. little peppery first then long dark fruit finish. Lots going on here. Like it.

Love this. Translucent ruby color. Red berry, cinnamon, rose petal. Medium light body. Pure. As a Southern Rhône lover I’ve got to say—wow California, wiw A Tribute to Grace! — 9 months ago

Wow lots of dark fruit and intrigue here. A unique wine! — 10 years ago
2006. 8yr old Zin from Lodi. This used to be a bruiser of a wine. Now it's quite balanced, nuanced, and at the end of its life. Very vegetal with green bean and English pea aromas, balsam, and tasting of an amalgam of stewed raisined cherry, black currant , oak, mushroom, and white pepper. 16.5%abv. — 10 years ago
