Super dry and aromatic. When I pulled the cork a wave of rosy perfume escaped. You can smell and taste the naturally occurring yeasts, and dare I say, bacteria. Quite a bit of blue cheese funkiness. Purchased at The Spanish Table on Clement St for $9.99 — 7 years ago
The best a accompaniment to truffle pecorino I can imagine. WS — 8 years ago
On the nose, this Howell Mountain beauty has chocolate, spice and mint accents on a core of red and black fruit. The flavors are the same/similar, and the tannins are well-integrated and balanced perfectly with acid, fruit and alc (13.5% abv). Full-bodied with a great, silky texture. The finish is long and dry, with notes of chalk and raspberries. An awesome bottle, drinking well now but this wine will also age well. — 9 years ago

Wow. 15 yr old Cab from Napa. Tannins and fruits still doing their job. Complimented the BBQ Spencer’s just right. — 6 years ago
Classic Chenin Blanc aromas of ginger, marmalade & tons of flinty minerality. On the palate there's a slight effervescent with a mineral core. — 8 years ago

2014 in January 2018. Lots of flavor that lingers nicely — 7 years ago
GL tasting Pape Clement 10/18/17. Means tall oak tree. 60 Merlot 40 cab. Three vintages. '15 Nose of black berries and palette that's straightforward with some earthiness and medium finish. 8.8. 2010 nose that's black fruit and body with hints of wood and good structure. 8.9. 2005 nose that's complex with that autumnal secondary notes of age and good structure on palate and long finish. Rewards of aging. 9.0. Roland consulting previously but more moving away from me oak. — 8 years ago
