Red deep fruit colour. Very nice nose of cherry and spices, pepper. In the mouth it is both crunchy and of a beautiful intensity, which will express all the better as the bottle will have been aerated for at least a good hour. The 95 vintage was built for aging. Sauzet Montrachet wine is built for aging. This shows. The wine was perfect -it was alive an vibrant like a young wine. I knew the age but I could not believe it. The nose has a surprising molasses tone with stone fruits in the background. The wine had an incredibly long finish. This wine blew me away- completely!
