100% pinot noir, which gives it the expected young strawberries and red fruits. Plus, of course, the toasty flavors of Champagne. It’s got a tight, tiny mousse with a gorgeous, pink-tinted golden color, which to me signals a little more sassy fun to go with your glass of elegance. Notably, it’s also unique in that the Mathieu clan both grows and makes the wine, so they can claim a more specific sense of place from their vineyards in Champagne’s southernmost subregion. #laterwine — 10 years ago

Very pleasant indeed. Used most of the bottle in a chicken casserole (which was delicious) but had a small glass whilst cooking. Full of nectar, apricots, and nice clan acidity. Well balanced! — 10 years ago

This brother of the Conterno wine-making clan produces the more contemporary version of Barolo. It's so delicious and balanced and affordable for a Barolo. The funky label belies the seriousness of the bottle. — 9 years ago
