French oak. Smells like my grandma's toaster and she stuck a mixed berry Jane in and it was burnt. High acid, medium heavy body, bold oak that still gives you that kinda low sugar berry pie that's been in the oven for a bit longer than needed with muted fruit and a meatier kinda body. Fun wine. I've seen bad reviews from people on this wine but I quite enjoyed it. Slight skin contact and time in barrel. There version of a white burgundy is what Ciro said. I work mainly with Italian wine and for me this was quite separate from the rest of Italy in a really good way. I felt the wine to be unique and complex and highly recommend it. — 11 years ago
