We let this 2008 decant for a couple of hours and it was very smooth. Soft tannins with rich fruit. Great with Dinner! — 10 years ago

Good Cali Cab to kick off Grateful Dead's Farewell Tour. Blackberry, licorice, menthol. Epic year. — 10 years ago
Really delicious but needs at least 3 hours in the decanter to shed some of the fierce tannins. Will be much better in 5 years. — 12 years ago
Tasted alongside a 2010 Cimarossa and was rather similar in structure and character. The nose is raspberry licorice and a hint of herb. The start of this one is darker, has a similar volcanic note. Dark blackberry. The middle is where the dirty raspberry licorice starts to take over. This wine on the finish is a little more tart. Has a raspberry bread finish. Still has a TON of life left in it. This wine was really good. I will be trying to find some of this current vintage wine. This wine, to me, was WOTN. Incredible complexity. Had a nice density to it, but it had more than just being a young fruit bomb. Cheers! (apologies for the label...zoomed in way too much!) — 8 years ago

Delish. Jammy. Heavy. Dark — 10 years ago
The complexity...blueberry, blackberry, coffee, orange zest, forest floor, leather...a long finish, intense aromatics. Up there or better than the wines from my recent visit to cimarossa. — 11 years ago

Smooth deep flavors of plum, cherry and chocolate. Great finish. In a class by itself! — 7 years ago
