Huge perfume and deep slatey aromas. Beautiful nose. Complex and deep with super fruit of ripe apricots and pears. Terrific and complex. Balanced like the best 15's can be. Delicious. — 9 years ago
Well wine still awesome. I drink this now with Christoph Ebner an old friend at the Anza Borrego State Park. Some bottle shock as we drove it through the dessert but still awesome. Really great stuff expensive but worth it. Prefer the 12 over the 13. And by the way Jason who imports this wine is a great guy. — 9 years ago

Beautiful nose. Floral, peaches. Terrific texture. — 10 years ago
Regardless of vintage Willi & Christoph #Schaefer work brilliantly with whatever Mother Nature gives them and in 2013 it was very small amounts but very high quality!
The #Spätlese cleared €41 for 750ml & €132 for #magnum with the #Auslese coming in at €150 for 750ml & €78 for 375ml & €300 for 1.5L - always fair and square! #VDP #Auction — 11 years ago
Spännande. Lätt men ändå vitpeppar. Björnbär. Mkt syra — 8 years ago
Light straw color, white flowers, more body, bitterness but nice. — 9 years ago
Makes you think with every sip. Sweet but not cloying; complex and minerally. Not getting a lot in the nose; touch of lemons. This stuff is excellent!! Thanks, Tom! Mom and Dad loved it too. Special wine. — 9 years ago
Nice pith. Candied fruit at first. On the kabinetty side. — 10 years ago

preserved lemons, citrus, hint of petrol, acidic well balanced with a touch of sweetness — 11 years ago
Christoph thinks this one is toll. This wine has real class highly rated by Jancis Robinson in 2013 with 17.5 points. Asleep when opened smokey flavor which blows off. Then dark berries on the nose root bear on the nose 😏 which vanishes. Cherry in the glass this wine can run with the best burgundies! Tea leaves, slightly bitter, persistent and long. Good now but has some more time left. This will end up in my blind tasting Burgundy versus Germany. A stunner most will take this for a Gevrey. The nose might give it away. I saw the soil pure limestone. — 9 years ago
Outstanding. Deep golden color. Slightly oaky. Different than any Gruner I have had in the States. — 10 years ago
2000! Thanks Christoph. Crazy good fruit. Apples, honey, acid...a few tartrates(I like to call them "wine diamonds"💎💎💎) they sparkle😀. Better with a pear tart or cheese and nuts, we had Thai. Could easily go some more time in bottle. — 10 years ago
Christoph & Andrea #Schaefer brought a modest 750ml bottle of their magnificent 2012 Graacher #Himmelreich #Spätlese--as good as anyone's fruity #Riesling and one of my favorites. #KellerParty — 11 years ago
Part of a gift from my good friend Christoph Artner who sent me a sampling of the 6 best St. Laurent's in Austria according to him. One of my favorite red grapes in the world! — 11 years ago
