Wine is almost mature, drink it within the next 4 years...persistent and pleasant finish — 10 years ago
Smooth, delightful Could be enjoyed wonderfully chilled, though tonight I enjoy at room temp (Courtesy of Gourmet Guild) meow — 11 years ago
More modern producer. More intensity and color that your traditional Valtellina. Chiavennasca benefits quite nicely from the barrique, however I still prefer the traditional producers — 9 years ago
2007. Disgorge spring 2013. Think you have know Chiavennasca.. Think again. — 11 years ago
Valtellina Superiore from the Inferno viticultural sub-zone, made from 95% chiavennasca (the local name for nebbiolo); 5% pignola and pinot nero. Just as to be expected, the wine is crimson bright color, aromas of dried red fruit, and tar. Medium body, with excellent acidity, good balance. Food wine. Went smooth with home made pizza. Very good. — 10 years ago
2005. Primal nose, very closed. Hints if rose petal, tar, cherry pit and loam. Reminds me of Chiavennasca grapes from Valtellina. — 10 years ago
Chiavennasca for the first time — 11 years ago
Alessandro Ghizzardi
Ben fatto. — 9 years ago
