Top ! — 4 years ago

Solid example of the GC but to be honest I've never really been impressed with Chartron, they tick a few boxes, but when it comes to a wine that moves you, this isn't the producer I would talk about, mediocrity is a harsh word, but it's what I've found so often, considering the price... — 9 years ago

Marvelous #structure #aromas of #blackberries and #cassis #charred oak. The berry bush in the most subtle and elegant way. Pleasantly surprised by this wine. I believe it has great aging potential. Great now and will be smooth and more complex in the future. — 10 years ago
As classy as they come; medium-bodied, fresh and layered with partly resolved tannins, cedar notes, red and black currant flavors, earthy minerality and a lovely, vivid finish. — 11 years ago

The 2021 Cornas Granit 60 is a terrific result from this challenging vintage. Slightly reductive at first, swishing the glass gradually unlocks a red-fruited profile. Leafy undertones, forest floor and cured meat elements add more contrast. Medium-bodied, concentrated and remarkably refreshing, the 2021 finishes on a savory note. Second label (Domaine de Chevalier) Graves Red Blend. (65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 5% Petite Verdot). Deep purple color. Dark berry aromas and flavors. Hints of cedar, licorice, minerals and baking spices. Round and silky. Long finish. Well structured. Great value. — 5 years ago
Pale in color; slightly waxy, lime rind, white flower. Excellent vibrant acid balance with a layered texture and full body. A delicate almond note on long finish suggests drink up but this was in great shape overall. Dancer has a wonderful touch with CH.

Last day of CNY at Arthur’s house. Smoky, flinty nose. Smokiness hits hard on palate. Ripe lemons. Balanced and elegant. — 3 years ago
Racy citrus and mineral. Pleasantly surprised — 3 years ago

This 2023 is an affordable “ Brother” of the northern Rhône. All about light bodied freshness and nuance, hints at it s big brothers in Crozes Hermitage. Will be a delightful picnic wine as the warmer weather arrives. Under $20 a bottle. — 9 months ago
