Delicious fruity and unoaked — 8 years ago
Aromas of citrus and pineapple juice. Fermented in a clay amphora on Skins with no Malolactic Fermentation. No oak. This wine making gives another level of freshness, intensity and minerality. An excellent wine from one of Australia’s pre-eminent wine makers, Steve Flamsteed. Winery says cellar up to 6 years - I cannot see my bottles lasting that long! — 8 years ago
Powerful burst of flavored - spice, cheery, smoke, full bodied. smell spicy but less aromatic than younger wines. Smooth. — 10 years ago
Love this innocent bystander Shiraz.. Easy to drink... An all time favourite — 10 years ago
More delicate and filigree than Wombat. Traditional chablis profile - citrus, some mineral and spice from oak. Linear and focused with strong acid spine. — 5 years ago
Superb. Really nice - flavourful, juicy, fruity, smooth. Buy again soon — 7 years ago
Perfect with my steak & shrimp dinner! Not sweet at all (which is normally what I look for in wine).. I’m sure I’d be told to serve warm but wine for me must be cold. I’ll buy again for compliments to my meals. Could even see sipping it for a nightcap on cool nights. — 7 years ago
Delicious and crisp wine, with slight berry note, but still quite dry and smooth. Great feature at total wine in VA — 9 years ago
Sublime bio red Sancerre, balanced taste of red fruits (e.g. morello cheery) and spices. Long-lasting taste evolving throughout the diner. Great wine with girolle mushrooms. — 9 years ago
Red berry with lots of tannin. This inexpensive label produces dependably good quality wine. — 10 years ago
Attractive strawberries and fresh. Good length. Wined up here. — 10 years ago
Prior notes from 125 weeks ago still apply although I didn’t find this full bodied like I said over 2 years ago. There was that stalkiness and more savoury than fruity. The Yarra Valley is so versatile and does all the great grape varieties well with the exception of Riesling which is not planted. — 6 years ago
Between Applejack and Sexton, this displays strawberries all day, with twists of mushroom funk, sandalwood spice, and red cherries. Good — 7 years ago
Great Chardonnay. Ticks all the boxes. Beautiful line and length with plenty of fruit and subtle winemaking influences. Delicious — 8 years ago
Almost 2 yrs ago I wrote: "Half way through a case and the romance deepens. Giant scorched earth and oiled leather nose. Epic battle of extracted dark-red fruit sweetness and a light juicy acidity. All in a smooth-as-silk package. Ageing so gracefully, 10+ years from peaking." After last night I'll add: probably peaked after 2 hr decant, no need to wait but this has the tannins and pure extracted fruit to take it at least 10 more years. — 9 years ago
A little on the sweet side overall a good tasting wine. — 10 years ago
Big Wave Dave
Darker and more brooding than Primavera. More structured. Plums, cherries, lilac and dried strawberries. Blood/iron notes. Classic — 5 years ago
