Magnum. 7 hours in a decanter,
but could use much more and/or cellar time. Showing lovely, but has tons in reserve. — 10 years ago
Appears to be much"younger" then the 2010 echezeaux of Le Moine we drunk two days ago. Just fruit and tannin in back of the mouth. Very closed. Wait — 10 years ago

GL Burgundy tasting 3/7/17. Only producer aging with no racking for 24 months and no sulfur. $189. Darker red color and darker red fruit and more savory notes on the nose. Palate is complex and again with bite and minerals and fruits and long complex finish with tingling notes. In between two grand cru with more clay. Getting advantage with global warming due to deeper soil. Power s and finesse. Very straight wine. — 8 years ago

The nose is memorizing with fresh Hawaiian fruit, the finish is 2 minutes. Amazing wine that will only improve with proper aging. This is truly a wine made by exceptional people for the ages! — 10 years ago

High minerality, still tight but outstanding effort. Muscular, and great acidity. Wood not yet integrated. This is a beast of a wine. 2012 — 8 years ago
Picked this up for $12.99 at my local wine store, and I'm very satisfied. This just proves you don't have to always go with big names in the right bank. Honestly, this Lalande de Pomerol is straight up sexy and alluring. Color is a deep red ruby color with medium plus intensity. While pouring into the decanter, the color hypnotizes you into a wine dream. On the nose, it's medium-minus intensity makes you get up close and personal. Upon first sniff, I picked up black currants, tart cherries, cranberries, and violets. After taking my first sip, all those fruit aromas went away and I was left with more earthy and oaky notes. The French oak puts notes of cedar, clay, and smoke into the palate. I was surprised with the medium-plus acidity and woody tannins because of it being a right bank Bordeaux blend. Complexity came out after about 2 hours of just hanging out in the decanter. I highly recommend doing this. It was a stiff bitch before that. The tannins mellowed out and the heavy cedar notes became more subtle and balanced. Overall, what a good wine! The price doesn't hurt either! Cheers! — 9 years ago
Nicely developed Bonnes Mares, there is still ample acidity and structure to carry this forward in the cellar. Red fruit punctuated by a high candy-like note along with black cherry, spice and herbs. Intensity is concentrated on the mid and fore palate, offering great structure and polish throughout. The finish is satisfyingly lengthy and spicy. — 10 years ago

Burgundy tasting 3/7/17. $210 with amphoras NOT waxed inside. Cloudy wine. Highway of oxygen. FROM BOTTOM OF CORTON. No handling. After one year took out pits and wood. Then back in. Bottled when news of Bob Dylan got Nobel. Nose subdued but hints of earthiness and soil. No color of oranges. Palate is like nose and very interesting but unusual and would not have known is white Burg. — 8 years ago
