So much to say about this bottle. Its profile, its history, its growing rarity. And the fact that it was made at the very peak of The Patriarch’s era…
Then there is the occasion. A wine you cellar and protect, waiting patiently for the one moment worthy of all its allure.
A wine from a cooler Napa Valley, so evident in the glass it becomes mesmerizing. The freshness, the tension, the quiet authority; everything speaks of a time and place in Napa which no longer exists.
Yes, this is the kind of bottle that stays with you, not just as a wine, but as a memory. — 5 months ago
Probably from last Chambers sampler. 11/8/25 Cold Night. Very dark pour, potent scent out of bottle. Black fruits on nose. Moderate tannins. Solid sediments on second day. — 7 months ago
I see Raspberries and some cherries but not plums as noted on the back of the bottle. Quite harsh. Compared to the Renaissance from Oregon from Jadot - so essentially the same conglomerate on two continents - this is much more light weight and lacks real intensity and interest I would suggest drink up now - reasonable but not more. It was a gift. This will certainly not take cellar space. Softened over night so two more point for Gryffindor. — 10 months ago

1.5 hour decant(little sediment). A splendid dark purplish magenta color. On the nose: Intoxicating notes of sweet dark fruit, currants, herbaceous, cloves, floral, pencil shavings. Taste: Wow! rich, pure, elegant mouthcoating wine with blackberry/dark cherry, oak, graphite, loamy soil, and a baking spice-savory herb-dark plum medium plus finish. YUM!! Lots of potential and glad to have a few more bottles...give it a few more years. — 3 months ago
