Lean, a bit of grip. Really good with dry aged rib eye. — 10 months ago
Sweet dried cherry nose with coriander and plum — 2 years ago
Sufficiently mature so as not make enemies with any palate (or bffs). Drink it if you got it now. Not much fruit left in the tank. What's left is dark. Deep purple in the glass. Mellow and soft now. Finish on the short side. Still, an enjoyable find. — 7 years ago
Light mouth feel, pleasant tannins and leather combination. Plums and apples with come cherry notes — 7 years ago
While these wines have great structure I find the 2005 Fourrier to be very tight and needing time. — 8 years ago
Great stuff. Definitely needs air. Like chili, it's even better on day 2 — 9 years ago

I hadn't had this wine in a couple of vintages and I always have had a sweet spot for it. It's a bit more austere and serious than previous vintages I tasted, and a bit more complex too.
Licorice, blackberry, leather, a touch of mint, some Cola notes and some heat... Wow it's a serious nose, a lot let's playful and fruitful than in my memories. The palate shows a great acid drive, some serious grip, some width, some matter on the edges, a nice blackberry note through and through, along with, again, these Cola notes that I usually associate with natural gamays from the Beaujolais region, some grippy tannins kick off in the rear, powering a long, fruity, grippy finish that lasts for a very long time. These tannins tend to make the wine a bit more austere and complex but the Cola notes remind you it's an organic, natural wine style too. I like it very much. And this is the entry level cuvée of this Domaine! — 7 months ago

This is the Blanc. Beautiful texture and weight to complement the citrus/herbs flavor combo. De-fuckin-lish. — 9 years ago
A fantastic ‘11! No doubt in a leaner style but there’s clear Fourrier signature and it’s so fresh, with absolutely zero greenness, just beautiful floral perfume and bright red cherry fruit that waft from the glass. The palate gains notably in weight and intensity and its pure, focused and saline-mineral inflicted finishes keeps on lingering. Great showing for a vintage I generally avoid in reds. — 7 months ago
Had this a few times, but I was finally able to sit down and analyze it over an evening. Their only cuvée produced in 2014.
Upfront, rollercoaster aromatics initially…rich, then mellowed out with an hour of air. After a few hours of air, a much more ripe CdP profile came out. Great bridge wine from Cali GSMs to bigger CdPs. Deep red in the glass with aromatics of fig, brambly red and black fruits. On the palate, big but not unbalanced. No trace of brett. Soft fig, muddled underripe black cherry, garrigue (smoked herbs); lengthy finish. Kiss of black pepper. Big Grenache vibe here. Lovely with air. Probably best in the near term based on the fruit forward structure. — 9 months ago
Great value — 2 years ago
Wow, what a beauty. Decanted for 2 hours, intensely aromatic, precise and energetic showing black raspberries, candied red cherries, flowers, hints of orange peel and packed with minerals. Finishes with exceptional length. The tannins are present and firm but the wine’s superb balance along with the combination of Fourrier’s style and the ripe vintage make it in a wonderful place now and with a certainty to improve with age. — 4 years ago
Orange pink colour, medium body, citrus lemon nose, tart lemon and melon flavour with medium body mouthfeel and clean finish. A delicious Grenache/ Syrah rose. — 6 years ago
Juicy Grenache dominate aromas with red raspberry, strawberry and red cherry fruit. The nose has a nice herbal edge with notes of fresh and dried thyme plus a hint of soy. The wine has a plush mouthfeel with silky tannins. There is good acidity to buffer the fruit and a nice sense of minerality. — 8 years ago
