2000: 15 year old CD-R villages tasting tasty. Dark and heady, black fruit, figs, raisins, chocolate, leather, meaty, some aniseed notes. Softened, no grip or acidity. Ready and open but complex, in the dried fruit spectrum, rum & raisin. — 10 years ago

My fav bordeaux of the night but others preferred the '85 calon segur...this was lightsr and more elegant, and more ready to drink but will still hold for several more years. Oenomaniacs don't have pearly gates, we have Domaine de la Romanee Conti La Tache 1990. Outrageously sexy, with a celestial perfume of asian spices and underbrush and dried cherry. Eternal finish that tattoos itself on your tongue and palate. Medium to full-bodied, with startling freshness and grip for a quarter-centurion. La Tache 1990 will enthrall for another 30 to 50 years.
