This is holding up well. Good cab franc qualities of menthol anise and herb garni. Dark yet approachable and classic. — 10 years ago
Starts off closed which is expected. After decanting, it was giving a sweet powdered soil nose intermingling with blueberry and black currants. Looooong finish in this one. Really lovely — 11 years ago
Amazing French wine!!!!!!!! — 12 years ago
How nice to see some aged wine in a bistro-styled Restaurant! 'La Vache qui tète' in Clermont Ferrand is housed in a former butchery and they serve wonderful Charolais meat. That's it.
And they have nice wines and artisanal beer on their list. Nice!
This wine is a fully mature, true-to-type 'Bourgeois' St. Emilion, plummy, steely, medium bodied. — 9 years ago
Chose this during tasting with isobell and benoit. Fruity, spicy, earthy — 10 years ago
Really pretty floral aromatics with some tropical and exotic fruit, flavors of lichee and white flowers, ginger and hazelnut/toffee flan. Silken texture without being heavy. Nice freshness and minerality esp. for a Rhone white — 10 years ago
