Blinded in one whiff as 2013 juge. His wines are as easy to spot as a reynaud wine. That Syrah campfire aroma just screams and the structure is very 2013, though more enjoyable now than most other 2013 northern Rhônes. I am sad that these are already essentially unobtainable and will just become more difficult to get — 8 years ago

CV tasting Crozes Hermitage 10/6/16. Very savory and meaty nose with hints of mints and earthiness and beacon. Balanced and acidic and minerals on palate with firm structure. Long complex finish. Phenomenal. The vintage is starting to hit its drinking window, with a richness that has been tamed down by time. Nose is 100% Reynaud, aromatics are delicate but full scale, and finish never ends. This is intoxicatingly good. — 8 years ago
