Just enough spice to pique your interest without being overwhelming. Luscious dark berries. So delicious!! #wsjwine — 9 years ago
New producer to me, but if you want to pique my interest, then "Vignes Centenaires" is certainly the way to do it. Apparently the producer worked for Allemand before buying this plot next door to Brouilly. It certainly tastes more distinguished than the generic appellation normally suggests. This is juicy, super-drinkable Beaujolais with a neon-bright magenta color and crystal-crunchy fruit, but it's also loaded with crushed rock and commensurately grainy tannin - you can practically visualize those thick-skinned tiny berries popping in your mouth and getting gritty with it as the sweet fruit oozes out. With air it starts featuring some non-fruit notes in a much deeper pitch - think cloves and cigar tobacco. — 9 years ago

Could be a few years older but distinct notes of leather and currant, slight hints of truffle, possibly from my steak, but a fine wine nonetheless — 9 years ago
Cork broke on us so we were worried but all was well. Earthy and chewy but very delicious. With steak. — 10 years ago
Our favourite rose. Delicate light fruity flavours, dry and well balanced. We have been drinking this wine over a number of years and it is consistant; always a pleasure. — 10 years ago
Some pretty sexy and spicy Carmenere. Lighter than most, not overextracted, very herbaceous and just that right tip of the tongue spice to pique the palate. 2014 vintage. — 10 years ago
