Château La Croix Des Moines

Domaine des Croix (David Croix)

Les Cents Vignes Beaune 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2019

First time we tried it, and its to our taste. Medium dark rubi robe, beautiful nose of spices and cherries, medium bodied, elegant, complex. Really good stuff and left us thirsty at the end. — 4 years ago

Cuvée des Moines Brut Champagne Blend

[Tasted on November 24, 2018 on American Airlines]

Beautiful NV champagne. Smoke, flint and pear on the nose. Flavors of black currant, pear, apple, ginger, honey, almond, lemon zest and brioche. Smoke and chalk on the finish. Nice balance, racy acidity and delicate mousse.

Croix de Bois Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2005

A big and structured wine. Aromas of cherries, roasted coffee and fresh herbs. Broad-shouldered and chewy, with good mid-palate depth and firm tannins - plenty of length and grip on the finish. The wine seems nicely balanced, and should age very well. — 10 years ago

Combe Aux Moines Vieille Vigne Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2015

Can’t get stop going after ‘15 Burgundy. Here, from one of region’s elite and from the fabulous Combe aux Moines vineyard, deeply flavored and beautifully perfumed, ripe black cherries, red raspberry, exotic spices and damp earth. The texture is luxurious and supple and the finish is long and seductive. 🔥 — 7 years ago

There is something about Chenin with some bottle age. Confected fruits, funky and nutty, oxidative edges all held together by ample acidity. — 9 years ago
