Black fruit, vanilla, wood / rich, integrated, and deeply concentrated — 7 years ago
The 2010 Ducru-Beaucaillou has a seriously fine bouquet with plenty of black fruit, cedar and hints of camphor that blossom from the glass. So much vigour and intensity here, yet it remains beautifully delineated and focused. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain, supple tannins. There is a fine bead of acidity, fresh and focused, one of the most pliant Saint-Julien crus in this flight with a supple finish that belies that structure underneath. It reminds me of Léoville Poyferré. Superb. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners 10-Year On Bordeaux horizontal. (Neal Martin, Vinous, April 2020)

Made by the same guys who operate Léoville Poyferré, they definitely know how to make a great blend. Their 2010 Grand Vin is perhaps my favourite Argentinean wine. It slightly lacks the depth and lushness of its bigger brother but it offers excellent value for the price. Notes of dark chocolate, coffee, cedar, oak, plum with hints of vanilla. Smooth acidity and tannins on the palate. Great Bordeaux style wine from Mendoza. — 8 years ago

3 3rds 2 2nds 1 1st all delicious..... Poyferré and mouton were the stars — 6 years ago
Mon dieu! Opened too early. Exceptional, but still requires another 3 years in the bottle. Tannic monster, but revealing it pedigree. So pristine and precise. A first growth in all but the designation.... — 6 years ago

Very good 2000 cru bourgeois. Aged v. Well. Compared to Leoville Poyferré just slightly less fruit but lot if body. Great buy if you can find it! — 5 years ago
