Excellent. Maybe a bit more cherry than last time? — 5 months ago
This has softened considerably since my last bottle several years ago. Nose is complex, with earth, cedar, cigar box, and an incense-like note. In the mouth, it’s rich but medium-bodied. The tannins that were so prominent a few years ago have significantly resolved. Entering (finally) its drinking window. — 7 months ago

Classic, classy, and great qpr. — 8 months ago
Balanced but fruit is front and center through to the finish with a soft velvety tongue. The bourbon barrels come through with a deliciously harmonious, and unique surprise. — 7 years ago

1990: This bottle given to me by Gaston Huet when I visited him in 1996, so no importation or pregnancy warning stickers to obscure the contents. Amber color revealing the level of botrytis in this vintage, since the wine was absolutely fresh. Creme bruleé nose. Silky mouthfeel, with explosions of fruit, ranging from baked apples, hints of vanilla, quince jelly and raisins. Long, long pleasing finish which is a fitting tribute to one of the true heroes of winemaking. Sublime. — 10 years ago

Full of character. Cedar comes through strong. Earthy with a heavy finish. Quality wine, but not sure if it’s worth the $. — 8 months ago
Juicy. Yummy. Great for price. $14. — 5 years ago
This wine exceeded expectations. Though the restaurant could have served it much colder (their food was excellent BTW). — 8 years ago
Bright aromas tangerine and citrus with a touch of pear. Juicy on the palate with tons of slatey minerality. Bright acidity balanced by lemon and lime fruit. Medium clean finish. — 11 years ago
