A ravishing wine. Concentrated black cherry fruit, with a tart baked quality rather than roasted, with mocha, followed by a medley of tertiary flavors; sous bois, animal hide, hot clay, and especially truffle. With extended air time, the animal aromatics are subdued and better integrated, and the fruit becomes seemingly fresher, and unlit tobacco on the finish. Velvety tannins and salubrious acidity.
