A really lovely surprise from Beaune, this 1er cru is simply splendid and delicious, complex, rich, creamy, tropical and summer fruits, mineral, medium to full fat smooth body, superb acidity and long delicious finish. In a blind tasting would most probably mistake it to be a Meursault ;-) my score 90, drink to 2020 — 7 years ago

Amazing Volnay 1er Cru from Prieur. At 13 years, it has a good 5 more to go but even now, integrated and velvety mouth feel. Densely concentrated with much Berry and citrus (citrus?!).
