Aerated for over an hour. This is crazy good. So evolved and layered. Pronounced and immediate tertiary aromas and flavors of hazelnut and nutmeg. Sweet tangerine and ripe red apple primary aromas and flavors come second and some good’ol bread and butter secondary aromas and flavors come last. This is dry with medium plus acidity, medium alcohol, full bodied, with a prolonged slightly tannic finish. Outstanding wine. Cheers. — a month ago

2015 vintage. Claire Villars and Gonzague Lurton started in Chalk Hill with the 2012 vintage. This 2015 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (74%), Cabernet Franc (20%) and the remainder Merlot. A bit oaky on first impact, but the fruit is more present the next day so decanting is recommended. Slightly jammy black fruit, with good acidity and length. A very good wine, if not in the same league as Ferrière (and more expensive, at least here in Bordeaux). An estate to watch nevertheless. — a month ago
This is great. A spectacular nose of zesty lemon, pineapple, peach, honey. The palate is vivid with loads of attack- lots of fruit, tropical notes of passion fruit and lime then slate. Acidity tingling away in the background. An exhilarating but sophisticated wine. Great balance and the youth gives it real vitality. Now for 10 years is the apex. A super long finish — 4 months ago
