A little reductive, in such a beautiful way, great citrus intensity, no new oak character, a benchmark for the ouillé style, — 8 years ago

Want to have this again! It has a round punch and then there's a solid finish. Recc-ed by JH. — 10 years ago
The sort of wine that can release your tension with just a whif. Elegant smooth red fruits with a hint savory notes in balance. All-natural — 10 years ago

Straw color. Red apples, cider, some peaches. Medium acidity. Slight nuttiness. — 11 years ago
My go to affordable Sauternes. Lovely, funky notes from the botrytis, languid, silky viscosity and a palate of honeycomb, dried apricots and orange blossom. A finish that lingers endlessly. Simply sublime with some funky cheese or foie gras — 11 years ago

Didn’t know what it was when we opened it because the label was in French but we enjoyed the wine immensely while camping in Colorado — 7 years ago

A superb wine, from a magician named Alain Dejean, working in biodynamic, a great man - the wine spent 2 years in barrels working on proper oxydation technics - resulting in a rich, concentrate wine , but also fresh small touch of licorice and fruit notes like grapefruit and mango - it is well balanced and silky - a great bottle to share with friends 😎 — 11 years ago

Holy smokes this was outstanding. 100% Pinot Noir from Jura in this Vin de France. Herbal and savory but with this black cherry and menthol thing going on. Too much acidity could easily kill this but so well balanced. — 8 years ago
Good chardonnay (with a hint of sauvignon blanc). Great, but $20 — 9 years ago
My first Jura wine. Glad I finally got around to trying one...
The nose is a bit like a Fino in character, with pronounced saline and mineral aromas, and there are also persimmon, apple, and lychee notes. On the palate, there is that Fino quality, but much more tart, green apple and citrus. High acid, but it is well-integrated and the wine has good overall balance. The finish is lingering with tart fruit and a chalky note. Really tasty and interesting. — 10 years ago
It seems like in the Jura there is always a new treasure to be found. Especially for acidity-seekers. Francois Rousette is making topped-up wines around Château-Chalon since 2007, but it is the first time I came across them. This one is a persistant beauty with a powerful mineral backbone and razorblade acids. Liquid fossils. Wow! — 10 years ago
Another beauty from the wise Alain Dejean, a great anthroposophical man and biodynamic wine producer - an intense and powerful wine full of finesse and richness, fresh notes, stones fruits, dried fruits, white flowers touch & acacia - well a beautiful Sauternes jewel few meters side by side with the most famous ones 😃 get me more 😋👏 — 11 years ago
Belle longueur en bouche, un peu de champignon, de la noix. Un beau voyage — 12 years ago

Vintage 2011 / Chenin Blanc Par Excellence. From a lesser known AOC in Anjou/Loire next to Coteaux du Layon. This is só gorgeous. Gold colour. Smells like honey, Turkish Fruit, apricot. Beautiful lively sweetness on the tongue. Perfect aperitive for Sunday lunch. Paired with Duck liver paté. — 6 years ago
