Soft, like licking a cigar made from mole skin, fruit forward and dissipates like the hopes and dreams of Leicester winning the league again. Yet there remains a smidgen of tobacco and plum.. Duh.. Dum..dum.... Yeah would still do it. 9/10 — 8 years ago
On the nose; ice tea, citrus peel, roasted blood orange, touch of oxidation, decayed roses and medium intensity volcanic soils. The color is orange and you definitely pick up the clay pot influence. The body is lean to medium. ice tea, citrus peel, roasted blood orange, orange peel, a touch of oxidation, decayed roses, delicate minerality, chalkiness, high round acidity, soft warm spices, savory notes with a really nice round finish. Producer notes; the winery is high up in the hills of the Asureti Valle...4200 feet above sea level. Asureti is an ancient village in the foothills of Georgia, about 30 minutes away from Tbilisi. Some of their wines are made with no skin contact and others with skin and stem contact for as long as 7 months. They also farm organically. Photos of; their vineyards, Beka Gotsadze and the qvevri clay fermentation pots. Pairings; sautéed fish to chicken mole tamales and take out Chinese. — 8 years ago
Rich dark berry fruit aroma with earthy notes to it. Smooth soft tannin structure with some delicious dark berry fruit richness. There is still lots of flavour to this wine, could've left for 18 more months.... but was awesome tonight, not a wine for the faint hearted — 9 years ago

Paired nicely with chicken mole, good guess. — 12 years ago
07’ Seven Stone. Still quite purple in color. Blackberry, blueberry & jam flavors, dark chocolate, tea. This wine is still rather rich & dense. Have to say it has a elegance about it. This could possibly be in it’s prime for another decade. We shall see.
Nothing quite like it. Reminds me of a combination of Lail Mole Hill & Robert Keenan Reserve 😳 — 7 years ago
Another beauty that was so graciously gifted to me from DAVID L 🎤! Realm’s “Moonracer” is now produced from these grapes. This Hartwell is incredible!!! Juan Mercado certainly picked a gorgeous winery to buy!!!
All the profiles that are in my wheelhouse: lush dark red fruit, just a minute hint of spice on the back palate., strong contender but Mole Hill ruled the world tonight! — 8 years ago

Pronounced black cherry and plum nose, with anise, pepper and crushed stone notes. Ample, brambly blueberry and black raspberry on the palate, with good acidity. Bursting with juicy goodness, some--but not too much--grip, and a 40+ second finish with spice and mineral. A real beauty. My one wish, if any, would be for just a bit less residual sugar. — 10 years ago

Wow what a fun wine. Light body but packs a little cool spicy punch. Perfect for drinking alongside sweet and savory Mexican dishes (chicken mole) — 7 years ago
