Purchased at the estate to try out after our tasting. Pure golden yellow, not at the same level of intensity as a Sauternes or Vin de Constance. Nose was covered in dried apricots, light pineapple and complex floral notes. Not syrupy thick but a decent viscosity. Lots of honeysuckle and dried white fruits. Moderate body with a delicate finish. Drink till 2023. 305 cases produced. — 9 years ago

Solid surprise. Washington constance of a standby vineyard, Horse Heaven. Established in 2005
Naturally bounded on the north by the Yakima Valley AVA and on the south by the Columbia River.
Approximately 66% red to 34% white
Main grape varieties include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Riesling
Located in Southeast Washington - total area is 576,603 acres of which about 16,197 acres are planted to grapes, representing 25% of Washington's total grape production.
Primary grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Syrah with 37 total varieties planted.
Proximity to the Columbia River creates 30% more wind while moderating temperature extremes, providing steep south-facing slopes for optimum vineyard locations and providing well-drained, sandy-loam soils.
Elevations range from 1,800 feet at the area's northern boundary to 300 feet at its southern. — 7 years ago

great with dessert close to constance — 9 years ago
The wine is made of Grenache Blanc grapes grown in France’s Rivesaltes region of Roussillon, just north of Spain and west of the Balearic Sea. It’s surely sweet, but with the beautiful tart edge that makes dessert wine so approachable and food friendly. Pair with pastries or enjoy on its own as an aperitif or a finale.
The Terrasous Les Vignobles de Constance Vin Doux Naturel is slightly copper-colored and has the aroma of concentrated dried apricot and honey, with a palate to match. There are other notes that come through on the nose, like that of oak spice, so it’s nice and complex. It is a very sweet wine, but not cloyingly so. The mouthfeel is creamy and viscous, as rich as you want dessert to be. — 9 years ago
Astonishing value at about about 15 euros direct from producer. Tasted blind, incredibly sweet and intense. Apricots, mandarin. Similar intensity to something like a Vin de Constance — 10 years ago
