In the tradition of ice wines and ice ciders. Slightly effervescent and pairs wonderfully with roast turkey. — 9 years ago

Velvety and dark, the gingerbread flavor sneaks up on you but doesn't linger. Crisp finish, especially in the back of your throat. — 10 years ago
Nice end of the season brew, White Ale with lots of nice spices, but of course with Sam Adams, not over the top — 11 years ago

New from Sam Adams. Big chocolate mocha coffee nose, very nice. Palate is more delicate with a nuanced coffee ground note. — 9 years ago

I can't believe I didn't rate this or write it up at the time. A suggestion from Rory Pugh, the sommelier at the Grand Del Mar (Fairmont) in San Diego. I forget if we were at Amaya or Addison. Regardless, this was a great suggestion by Mr. Pugh and an eye-opener. Went great with our entrees, which I'm sure were meat-centric. Had it again in Boston at Craigie on Main many months later. This is a terrific Bordeaux. — 10 years ago
