Great red on the lighter end with seafood! — 10 years ago
A big and structured wine. Aromas of cherries, roasted coffee and fresh herbs. Broad-shouldered and chewy, with good mid-palate depth and firm tannins - plenty of length and grip on the finish. The wine seems nicely balanced, and should age very well. — 11 years ago

Pretty darn close to old school Napa. — 3 years ago
First wine I chose postpartum! So fresh, with a funky nose — 5 years ago
A nice Beaujolais from a vintage that I don’t usually love compared to 2014/2016. Definitely better with an hour or so in a decanter to let the tannins integrate a bit more. Dark purple in the glass - darker than expected. Nice cherry aromas. Still could resolve a bit more on the finish but with a slight chill is nice. — 7 years ago
A hint of peach. Crisp and clean finish. If served chilled let it warm a bit. Then a slight butter comes through. Very pleasant. — 7 years ago
It's rich and smooth, would recommend for people who want to try Pinot Noir — 9 years ago

Deep and rich Gruner with a savory mix of mineral, phenolic spicy flavors. Dry and precise for a fuller bodied style. — 10 years ago

A solid budget “Beauj”. This actually tastes like terroir and you can tell the winemaker is trying to not get too involved in the cellar unlike last nights moulin a vent. A lightness and tartness that is quite fun raspberry notes of fruit and a lot of acidity lead to a good drinking wine. Perhaps cherry notes in the middle? The finish isn’t huge but it does linger after swallowing. Actually the nose is quite pretty. Lilac notes? A flower. Highly recommended. The light tartness on the finish might a little much for some people. Maybe air will mellow it. Will buy again.
Edit: after 20 or 30 min of air the tart end integrates and the wine smoothed even more out. This probably deserves a higher rating than 9. Highly recommended — 3 years ago

It’s time for my Friday's Cabernet fix. Here is a nice one from Sonoma County, California.
Dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim.
Fruity nose with black currants, cherries, plums, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, coffee, peppercorn, earth and light vegetables.
Full-bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, spices, chocolates, tobacco, peppercorn, earth, green tea, vegetables and graphite.
Medium-plus on the finish with fine-grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 7-year-old Cabernet Sauvignon from a Double Magnum is a nice surprise. Very tasty and easy to drink.
Well balanced with nice complexity. Spicy with a nice mouthfeel.
Needs a full hour to open up properly. I used 4 decanters.
After 2 hours of airtime, it drinks like a Left Bank Bordeaux. Interesting stuff.
Could continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 10 years.
I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged in French and American oak barrels for 12 months.
14.2% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

Fresh. 🍏 🍋❤️ Oxidized; but this is why I love it. #oxidationbeatsvaandmouseanyday — 7 years ago
Spiced apple and pear dominate the palate upfront with a hint of white peach. Leading into that irresistible minerallity you often get from Loire Valley whites. Lively acidity on the finish keeps you coming back for more!!!! — 10 years ago
Light bodied, tart fruits, cherries, strawberries, raspberries, cranberries red licorice and earthy notes. — 11 years ago
Incredibly layered stuff, with teeth-staining minerality, balanced by rich fruit flavors, bordering on tropical with plenty of grilled lemon juiciness in reserve. Never-ending finish with a complex tannic grip providing lift and energy. Thru 2020, at least. — 11 years ago

Solid wine. Comes across very fruity and smooth. Complexity and tannins are faded. Really nice fruit. Highly enjoyable with food or on its own. — a year ago
