Clear masala spices right in to the nose! 😱😱😱😱

Sweetly yellow, kaleidoscopicly citrus, meant to be served on The Calypso before a dive in search of lost doubloons. Out of the corner of your eye, you see yourself in a mirror and think you're wearing a small black touque and a silver beard. — 9 years ago

Expressive Chardonnay and velvet while only 1 year in oak. It's dreamy time. The vineyard was planted by King Charlemagne because the Pinot was getting on his white beard — 10 years ago
Drunk in Noah May's favourite Nordic wine bar. Full, crisp, good fruit, leafy. Drinking well. Makes you want to grow a beard — 10 years ago
Nice light fruity drinky. Congrats to Herbsaint on the James Beard! — 8 years ago
I was a boy when I drank this wine....now...I am a man with a perfectly groomed beard and a domesticated leopard that wanders my house uncaged. Come get it if you dare. — 8 years ago
2013 Quinta Jose Preto Tras Os Montes Touriga Nacional. Vinified dry. Spicy black pepper, licorice, roasted fennel, chocolate. Paired with three courses. Roast kernels of scallops, butternut and glasswort, beard sauce flavored with tangerine. Smoked fillet of Lozère lamb with Le Puy green lentils, carrots, lamb sausage and condiments. Cheese course of Camembert cheese, mascarpone, lamb's lettuce. — 9 years ago
Just a delicious Viognier. Bright and crisp, nice nose and paired well with chicken and garlic beard. Be careful- that 15% alcohol can sneak up on you! — 10 years ago
The baking spice is like "game on" in this wine — 10 years ago
Had this beautiful Massolino Barolo 2010 at the James beard Foodie under Forty wine tasting last night. Such a beautiful, elegant wine that delivers a mix of cherry, truffle, black pepper perfume, with long lasting, silky smooth finishing. Elegant is the best world to describe this big red — 10 years ago

Best wine yet ...also most expensive. Almost perfect. Just enough fruit, just enough body, just enough smoothness, all combining for nearly perfect vino. Recommended by "Buca Mario's" Wine Ferry (jolly chubby guy that looks like the guy on the bottle w/o a beard)! — 12 years ago
Always been one of my favorites. Velvety and chocolate with a subtle berry finish and not too sweet. Was thrilled to see it by the glass on the menu at Bar Red Beard. — 8 years ago
What a surprise! A fun food friendly wine for easy day drinking and a surprising dinner date bevvy. Ruby red color matched my nail polish and the initial nose reminded me of photo processing chemicals - but give it few and it evolves. A rose and rhubarb flavor, super dry tannins - nice with some sweet and savory poultry aka James Beard quail style. Could even be served chilled like a red Sancerre after it opens up. Fun to try a Mt. Etna wine! — 9 years ago

Jamsheed Harem is one of them minimal intervention wines. You probably need a beard to really appreciate it. This Cabernet Franc is light bodied but full of funky assertive flavour. Imagine a nineteenth century farmhouse in Provence. This is what they would have been drinking before a post lunch game of Kick the Peasant. — 10 years ago

Heady Toppers big brother. Basically like Heady with a beard and long hair. And an axe and plaid shirt. You get it. — 8 years ago
