20 years old but still dark red and vibrant. Fruit has dropped off but lots of exotic spice and rich vanilla coconut from the American oak (?) in the background. Lovely drink with our eye fillet. — 3 years ago

A gift from the Premier of South Australia. A brilliant blend of Shiraz and Cabernet from all the wine regions of Australia. It was supervised by Len Evans, Brian Croser, John Hanley and Ian McKenzie all great wine makers and wine judges in the mid 70's to this collaboration in 1999. — 9 years ago
Beefy, rich sauce tannins. Some coffee and subdued fruit. A touch dusty as well. — 10 years ago
Highlight wine at Old Rioja Wine Dinner. Little history on the bottle: it's part of a special lot that was to be released on the 100th anniversary of La Rioja Alta and a blend of 85% Tempranillo with some Mazuelo, Graciano and Viura. It was aged for twenty four months in large oak vats, then for ten years in 18-20 year old barriques and finally bottled in 1986 to be released in 1990 in commemoration of the Wineries Centenary Anniversary… Forty eight years after harvest the wine is pure pleasure. Beautiful brownish/reddish color with scents of rose petals, boysenberry, musk, forest floor, mushroom and old leather on the nose. On the pallet, the oak, tannings and fruit are completely integrated; very docile yet seductive. A true gem and one of the most interesting wines I've ever tasted. — 4 years ago
127 year old vines, a serious wine with pepper red fruits tons of savory components. A ton of structure. — 9 years ago
2001 - It's unique: an Alicante Bouschet vineyard, ultra-centenary (end of XIX century), maintained in pre-phylloxera conditions by regular springtime floodings. A real rarity, testifying the very old traditions in viticulture practices in the Etna region. Awesome. #etnakalatour — 10 years ago

A Collection of great Australian Reds - Christmas break up of the Tennis Group. This or the Wynns Centenary would have been the WOTN. A Delicious balanced mature claret showing leather spice with noticeable mocha , like coffee grounds. Cruising at 32 years and will sit on the plateau for a while yet. The Reserve was the forerunner to what Yalumba now call The Caley which is now their flagship. A top shelf Cabernet Shiraz from a great vintage utilising Yalumba’s extensive vineyard resources. — 2 years ago
