More acidic than I like. Body is a bit off. — 9 years ago
Was absolutely delicious, until I tasted the Shotfire Shiraz 2012 also from Thorn-Clarke, which bested it. — 9 years ago
'12 and sans soufre. Still showing strong. Good acidity, funky Loire gamay signature. There's a bitterness or savory component here I love. Chef curry with sauce will pair perfectly. — 10 years ago
Excellent full bodied and bold red blend. I got it from a local wine and cheese pairing event. This is not a readily available wine, but if you can find it buy it! — 10 years ago
I am in the midst of a Cour-Cheverny obsession so this hits the spot. Immensely. — 10 years ago
Visited this winery last September, instant olfactory memory. Lush dark fruits, silky structure, balanced tannins. I miss Tuscany. — 10 years ago
Perhaps my favorite red wine produced in the contiguous south of Italy. This vintage is all over the place with camphor, creosote, tar, tobacco. I have to meet these people this year. I have an amazing story about this wine. Nic and Diane, do you remember the amazing "sleep under a bridge meal"? — 11 years ago

This an extremely interesting wine. I was surprised not to get the usual overwhelming wine from Spain. This is a classic Mountain wine, supple and sumptuous, interesting flavors. For my taste I would prefer a bit more acidity, however. — 8 years ago
Cocoa cherry and light clay mineral. — 9 years ago
Needs to breathe. After an hour aromas are much more pleasant. Smooth soft vanilla and a dark fruit I am unable to identify. Plum? Not too sweet. Not too tart. Not smoky. I think its a nicely complex for the price. Would recommend and buy again — 9 years ago
Like many Mediterranean islands, Mallorca hosts unusual indigenous grapes, like the Mante Negro, blended with Callet & Cab Sauv. There's the high-toned acidity of blackberries with a licorice taste, a perfume of herbs like lemon balm & juniper & rosemary, with elements of earthy gravel & saline winds. This 'Montenegro' reminds me of a Mt. Etna Nerello Mascalese crossed w Sardinian Cannonau. I'll be back for more! — 10 years ago
Delicious! My girlfriend shared this gift with me just to drink. Went well with a hummus snack though and I would definitely seek out this gem again. Would love to try it with beef or red pasta. — 11 years ago
Si el deixeu oxigenar-se una bona estona, trobareu fruits vermells i minerals, i fins i tot un punt de cafè. En boca es robust i rodó, torrat, te un puntet d'aspror i un final tranquil i no massa llarg. Molt bo! — 11 years ago
Funky fizzy natural cot I could drink for days — 11 years ago

Bigger than I usually enjoy but worked well with spicy Italian food. — 8 years ago
Well balanced and full bodied. I want more! — 8 years ago
My pic didn't turn out as well as @Nick Davis . Check out his. This is a cidery, wild, singular take on PX & Muscat that I wouldn't have thought possible if I hadn't drunk it. — 9 years ago
Spicy, sweet, balanced, seductive pinot. Best 08 I have had next to Beaux Freres Beaux Freres. Exceptional. — 10 years ago
Citrusy. Tasty. Nice summer wine. — 10 years ago
I like you. — 11 years ago
Nice and smoky with a slight earthy aftertaste. Not the best I've had but I would purchase this one again. — 11 years ago
Spicy with lots of fruit — 12 years ago

Happy to find this wine when I did. Showing tons of “other than fruit” characteristics on the nose, this wine smells older than it is. Little bit of bret, but the good kind! Dark black fruit and olive tapenade waft out of the glass while blackberry seed, tobacco and black cherry leaf the way on the palate. The body is full in the middle but lean on the edges because of the bright acidity which lifts the wine throughout. Drink now through 7-13 years! — 7 years ago
