Finally starting to strut its stuff after a sullen, dumbed down adolescence. Ripe but not fleshy as befits vintage. Tertiary notes swelling up. Definitely rebuy. — 13 years ago

Right on. I'm now wishing that all the Aussie Shiraz I bought 6/7 years ago had been Barolo. I pour mostly Brunello and Rosso at my restaurant but after having a glass of 2008 Cigliutti Serraboella with duck confit tortellini the other day I'm obsessed with Piedmont again.

I never got drug too deep into the Ozzie stuff (although, I'd love to get more Basket Press, Tyrell's Semillon, and a few vintages of Wynn's cab). Piedmont, Lombardy, Trentino, Alto-Adige, and Friuli produce some of the world's most exciting wines at bros @BobbyStuckeyMS @Leviopenswine and @DoBianchi can attest. Just gotta keep on tasting! Wine is the best! Salut!
