This is a PG13wine but with a finish like the ultimate classic .. almost like a 16 time winner and looks like forum blue & Gold - sophisticated like the Lakers — 9 years ago
Documents going back as far as Philip Augustus, Louis XIII and Louis XIV bear witness to the long-standing reputation of Fitou wines. Strong, full-bodied with real substance and a rich, deep colour. A small % of Syrah and Mourvèdre also brings it's richness in flavour and a delicious aftertaste. — 9 years ago
Brut non vintage bought in Caves de Forum, Reims for €26 This was a really dry, focused champagne (brut nature zero dosage) appealing bright, rich and fruity. Vinous without losing it's champagne identity. Proof that accurate champagne can be produced in the marls of the Aube. — 9 years ago

Founded in 1880 by Augustus Quitzow, Sonoma's Geyser Peak is California's 29th bonded winery. Their Russian River Valley Pluto's Fury is GP's top Pinot Noir. From the Middle Reach of RRV (immediately south of Healdsburg and where the river exits Alexander Valley and enters RRV). Produced from vineyard sites situated among the Westside Road wineries and vineyards, including Williams Selyem's Estate, J. Rochioli, Bacigalupi, Bucher, Allen, and Flax vineyards (to name just a few). While this won't be mistaken for Selyem or Rochioli, it's quite representative of the locale, with copious amounts of black cherry, clove, charred oak, with some secondary baking spice and barbecue smoke. The silky, yet structured mouthfeel works wonders, accentuating every curve. — 8 years ago
I was going to wait to open this but the negative commentary thread on the wine berserkers forum lead me to open this bottle. The wine was excellent it was well balanced: freshness fruit and acidity. Most of the negative comments are from individuals not receiving their wines in a timely manner but the negativity seems have found its way into the reviews. Based on my experience with this particular wine the quality is high. I hope Ray Walker solves his distribution problems (as it this writing his website was not operational). — 9 years ago
14's hot off the truck. Wood, popcorn, matchsticks and stonefroot. Has a lot of puppy fat. Currently rounder than Augustus Gloop — 10 years ago

40% Cesanese 60% Syrah blend from Lazio. 2016 is a bit young. Full bodied. Filled with sour cherry and currant. Having across the street from the Roman Forum with eggplant parm Roman style... quite lovely as the wine augments the flavors in the nice nightshade dish — 7 years ago
