Delicious Pinot-based traditional method sparkling wine from Schramsberg. This is en tirage for 6 years in caves and gets a lovely nutty and biscuity flavor that is complemented beautifully by flavors of golden apples and pears. Creamy mouthfeel yet high acid with a long, yet bright finish. Great presence of tiny bubbles. Simply beautiful. I do prefer the J Schram from Schramsberg (it is Chard-based with a similar time on the lees). This was a magnum. — 9 years ago
