As good as last time. I confirm. And there's pepper. Very herbal. Somewhere at the top of my list. — 6 years ago

Le grand Bordeaux à son apogée tel que je les adore! Que c'est bon ces vins avec 20 ans de cave! Du velours en bouche, grande longueur, des arômes tertiaires à tomber par terre! — 9 years ago
Forest floor and underbrush, in a medium bodied with some dark red fruit notes. Drinks great considering vintage and cost. — 10 years ago
Nice french Pinot — 10 years ago
Exceeded my expectations. Leather on the nose. Blackberry and pepper on the palette. This goes so well with spicy red meat dishes. Very nice. — 11 years ago

Draws a fine line between concentration, grace, and structure. The black cherry and pomegranate fruit is deep, mixing ripe with a touch kirsch. Classic NSG savory notes come through but framed by an alluring floral side. Game, iron, hung meat, licorice, floral pastille, sandalwood and cedar. The fruits richness shines up front on the palate, and he wine departs with a compact mineral touch and very fine tannin. This packs a lot of length, complexity, and balance for a village wine with purity that really helps it punch above its weight. — 6 years ago
Fantastic wine, earthy but with a long silky finish. £8.50 in Co-Op bargain — 7 years ago

Stunning Northern Rhone Syrah. Beautifully balanced, very smooth on opening. Even better the following day (half bottle each time). Even at £15, good value, courtesy of Tesco. — 9 years ago
Needed some air, opened up nicely, red fruit, some minerals very smooth, it will age well — 10 years ago
A little astringent and off putting at first. An hour later, it came around and became a social butterfly. Cranky pants turned into a delicious soft cherry melt
