Deep earthy tones. Not too strong. Full palate. I really enjoyed it! Not sure why the pros rated higher than the peasants? — 9 years ago

Bought this bottle of 2009 in the South of France from a Caves in Saint Laurent des Arbres. Lovely Lirac with a taste of cocoa and a little oak. If you ever visit the Rhone, Lirac is a must. Cost about €8. — 11 years ago

Rustic, earthy, and delicious. Great choice for one of the last nights at The Punchdown :( — 12 years ago
Un peu gras. Légèrement salée plutôt agréable. Jolie bouquet avec notes dominante de rubarbe. Un bel équilibre gras/acidité. Très minéral. Dommage les vins suisse sont trop cher — 8 years ago
Saint-Chinian AOC is located in the heart of Languedoc. Roquebrun is one of the two under-appellation communes. The Cave cooperative accounts for almost 90% of the village production. In my experience Languedoc typically resembles Southern Rhône, but this also leans towards Provençal in style. Lavender ganache, fresh cracked pepper, anise, worn leather, rose petal, and high toned blackberry and black cherry. — 8 years ago
Le grand Bordeaux à son apogée tel que je les adore! Que c'est bon ces vins avec 20 ans de cave! Du velours en bouche, grande longueur, des arômes tertiaires à tomber par terre! — 9 years ago
Very smooth and yet with a pleasant kick. With meat tom sauce and rice. 13%ABV — 10 years ago
That's a tasty wine. 60 M, 20 G, 20 S. Whole berry maceration, schist. Animal, meaty, schisty...faintly floral on finish. Gets better with every sip...or I'm drunk, either way, it's good...and for 4.76 euro....it kills! — 11 years ago
Fruité a fond, petite amertume — 11 years ago

Deep red cherry with earthy finish. Classic Loire/cab franc. Excellent on opening. — 8 years ago
This is my first Petite Arvine, and probably might be my only one as I don't know if I'll ever have a chance to return to Switzerland. The wine is spectacular, it's reminiscent of white Rhine varietals somewhere between a GB and Viognier (or a blend of the two). Not overly fat or flabby, but it has a medium bodied weight to it. Predominantly grapefruit notes with a low acidity and a bit of rind on the finish. — 9 years ago
Très très bo. Vin. Parfait pour un apéro dinatoire entre amis! — 9 years ago
Stays platoon and unassuming but grows into a metallic fruity awesome sauce. — 10 years ago

This wine is a very dark almost opaque ruby color with low aroma. The scents I noted were cherry, spices and pepper. It was medium bodied with medium-high acidity and low tannins. This moderately flavored wine has a medium length finish. Flavors of black cherry and tobacco accent this smooth wine. It is not overly complex but very enjoyable. — 7 years ago
